5g: MASSIVE OPPORTUNITIES AND CHALLENGES

INTRODUCTION:

Q: What is 5G?

A: 5G is the 5th generation mobile network. It is the new generation after 1G, 2G, 3G, and 4G networks. 5G enables a new network that is designed to connect everything together including machines, objects, and devices.

5G wireless technology delivers higher data speeds, very low latency and much is  more reliable ,5g have massive network capacity, increased availability, and more uniform user experience to more users.it also has Higher performance and improved efficiency which connects new industries

Nationwide, 5G networks will be needed to accommodate the growing demand for high-speed mobile broadband.

5G will support the massive numbers of devices that will simultaneously access the network, which will be far more than the 4G

As 5G enables IoT applications, like, education, energy and transportation, it is to be believed that they operate without fail every time.

OPPORTUNITIES OF 5G TECHNOLOGY:

FIFTH GENERATION(5G) MOBILE NETWORKS ARE EXPECTED TO BE THE NEXT BIG OPPURTUNITY IN MOBILE BROADBAND.

5G HAVE HIGHEST DOWNLOAD SPEED AS HIGH AS 20 GIGABITES-PER-SECOND WHICH WILL WILL MAKE TASK MUCH EASIER LIKE FULL HD VIDEO CALLING AT ANY PLACE IN THE WORLD, CONNECTED CARS,VR/AR, AND WORKING SPEED OF VARIOUS APPLICATIONS.

1. decrease in latency from 100 miliseconds to 1 miliseconds will make it easier to communicate without latency.
2.Enhanced video (4K, 8K and formats like 360-degree video) .
3.Live sports streaming.
4.Music and gaming (mobile and cloud
5.Augmented and virtual reality (AR/VR) 6.Consumer IoT services
7.In-car entertainment and connectivity
8.Digital advertising

challaeges:

1.5G networks operate on higher frequencies nearly up to 300GHz and these bands have increased capacity capable of delivering ultra-fast speeds 20 times more than LTE networks theoretical speed. However, availability and cost of spectrum band is still an issue for the operators. They need to bid for these higher spectrum bands as they continue to build and deploy 5G wireless networks.
2.On the consumer front, even if 5G network connectivity comes in, affordable 5G devices are yet to take their place in the market. And also, mitigating existing 4G and 3G users to 5G networks and devices will pose a great challenge in front of industry veterans
